I imagine it’s a bit daunting to select a therapist to work with, so I’ll give you a sense of who I am:

Firstly, I consider it a matter of great privilege to be able to do what I do; it means that I can be genuine all day and it is by fully bringing myself to work that I can be most effective. I am a firm believer in the transformative potential of psychotherapy. It is my nature to maintain curiosity, be open to new perspectives, and learn from others’ experiences.

Throughout my work, I encourage my clients to introspect and help them articulate what they might have always known but couldn’t yet face up to. I always value client’s take on any ideas I may have; if those ideas don’t resonate with them, I have no ego investment in imposing them.

It can be difficult to part with established views, narratives, and ways of being, even when they are interfering with moving forward in a healthier way. This is the work I can do together with the client to help them create a more fulfilling sense of their lives.

I seek to understand what the client is going through and concurrently feel how it may resonate with some part of me; I believe this contributes to my ability to connect and understand. It is also why it is essential that I have insight into my own inner life.

Whatever the client’s impetus to seek therapy, I value them as multifaceted beings and am genuinely engaged and respectful.
